As a child Baker, he spent a good period of his time on the road with his parents who were missionaries. James Colson Baker was depressed and was unemployed when Sonia Alane, his mother, left the family when Baker was only 9 years old. Baker and his dad moved to Denver in the United States, and they stayed at the house of his dad's aunt. Baker was a target of bullying because that he was poor by other children. The first time he heard rap was when he entered sixth grade. Colson Kelly was born as Machine Gun Kelly on April 22nd, 1989 in Texas. With his music, he is famous for mixing modern hip-hop styles with rock. Baker has released four mixtapes in the period from 2007 to 2010 prior to joining Bad Boy Records. In late 2011, this Cleveland artist became an international star when he changed to self-releasing mixtapes to working for reputed label labels. From there his career skyrocketed every album being ranked in the top 10.
